1. Text – The manuscripts submitted to the Editors should be in Portuguese, English or Spanish and in .DOC, .DOCX or .RTF format(not exceeding 5MB), in 12 point Times New Roman, double-spaced, A4 page format. Articles should have a minimum of 35,000 characters and a maximum of 50,000 characters (with spaces), and Bibliographical Essays should have a minimum of 20,000 characters and a maximum of 35,000 characters (with spaces), all including titles, notes and bibliographic references, but excluding the summaries.
Identification of authorship must be removed from the file and from the option 'Properties' from the .DOC, .DOCX or .RTF document, in order to ensure the journal's confidentiality criteria.
2. Title, abstract and keywords – Every article submitted to the journal must contain a title, an informative abstract, and a list of up to six keywords, which identify the principal subjects dealt with in Portuguese, with translations in English and Spanish. The abstract should have a maximum of 100 words, clearly showing the purposes, methods used, and the principal conclusions of the paper.
3. Notes and bibliographical references – Notes should be concise. The bibliographical references should not be present at the footnotes, but must be included within the main text. The reference must include the author's name, followed by the publication date and by the page number, separated by colons.

4. Bibliography – The Bibliography must be a single list at the end of the article, organized in alphabetical order. The references must follow the standards of NBR 6023:2002, as the following models:
I) for books: a) author's last name (in capital letters), followed by the first name; b) title of the work (italics); c) number of the edition (if necessary); d) place of publication; e) name of the publisher; f) date of publication.
Example: BACHELARD, Gaston. La terre et les rêveries de la volonté. Paris: Librairie José Corti, 1984.
II) for articles: a) author's last name (in capital letters), followed by the first name; b) title of the article; c) Journal’s full name (italics); d) place of publication; e) volume and number of the journal; f) date of publication.
Example: CAMARGO, Aspasia. Os usos da história oral e da história de vida: trabalhando com elites políticas. Dados, Rio de Janeiro, vol. 27, n. 1, 1984.
