About the Journal
The Brazilian Transport Journal (RBT – Revista Brasileira de Transportes) is a scientific journal linked to the FGV Transportes Studies and Research Centre, focused on transport, logistics and urban mobility at the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
This half-yearly electronic journal focuses on scientific papers aligned with the core purpose of the FGV Transportes Studies and Research Centre, serving as a channel for strategic thought in the transport, logistics and urban mobility sectors. Through this approach, it fosters the development of Brazil, helping public and private enterprises make decisions, and providing input for government authorities when drawing up public policies and action plans.
Consequently, the FGV Transportes Studies and Research Centre strengthens its position in the business, public, private and academic fields through this journal, with the intention of contributing to cutting-edge critical discussions and the progress of technical and scientific issues, enhancing academic standards of practical value.
FOCUS AND SCOPE
Only unpublished papers will be considered by the RBT journal; they should not be under assessment by any other periodical, nor be written in any language other than Portuguese and English, except for papers presented in congress proceedings.
Papers must be based on solid research, with good quality data and methodology; they will be peer-reviewed, with rapid decisions. Access to RBT content is open, with no fees charged for either submission or publication.
Professors, lecturers, researchers and professionals in the transport, logistics and urban mobility sectors are invited to submit technical and scientific papers in the following specialized fields:
- planning, operation and control of passenger and cargo transport;
- urban mobility, urban transport and traffic;
- transport infrastructure;
- energy efficiency for transport;
- information technology in transport;
- technological innovation in transport;
- social-economic and environmental sustainability for transport;
- technical, economic and environmental feasibility of transport;
- supply chain management;
- storage and warehousing.
On an exceptional basis, papers submitted by guest contributors are accepted, focused on technical and scientific discussions and comments. Acceptance will be at the discretion of the Editor or Editorial Board.
