Dupla jornada de trabalho: conflito de papeis sociais da mulher

Abstract

O presente trabalho utilizou conceitos da Psicologia Social de George H. Mead relativos ã interiorização da real idade social. Utilizou também a teoria da construção social do indivíduo de Berger e Luckmann, que considera a construção do sujeito a partir da socialização primária e secundária. Finalmente, utilizou a teoria do papel, de Goffman. A pesquisa procurou verificar a presença de maior antagonismo frente ao exercício da dupla jornada de trabalho, em mulheres que trabalham fora na faixa de 20-30 anos em relação a mulheres na faixa de 41-60 anos. Para tanto, utilizou-se um questionário constituído de duas partes: a primeira, apresentou itens que levantaram áreas de conflito frente ao exercício dos papéis domésticos do trabalho fora de casa. A segunda, detectou os estereótipos que as mulheres possuem sobre a mulher doméstica e a mulher que trabalha fora. o grupo experimental constituiu-se de 144 mulheres da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, pertencente à classe média, divididas em quatro grupos de 36 mulheres cada, distribuídos assim: dois grupos de 20-30 anos, um trabalhando fora e outro não; dois grupos de 41-60 'anos, um trabalhando fora e outro não. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que o exercício da dupla jornada de trabalho e vivenciado de forma mais conflitiva por parte das mulheres de 41-60 anos, do que pelas mulheres de 20-30 anos.

This research work has made use of concepts of George H. Mead's Social Psychology regarding the inner nature of social reality. Berger e Luckmann's theory of individual social construction, which accounts for one’s construction through primary and secondary socia1izationt has a1so been used as well as Goffman’s role theory. This research has tried to test the existence of greater antagonism for those submited to a dai1y 'double working routine. The test group consisted of emploged women in the range of 20-30 years of age and 41-60 years of age. A list of questions divided in two parts has been used . The first parte consisted of questions dealing with conflict areas in the performance of both domestic ·services · and employment tasks, The second part tried to detect the stereotypes held by women regarding those of their sex perfoming domestic services and those working as employees. The test group consisted of 144 middle-c1ass women living in the city Rio de Janeiro. They were divided in four groups of 36 people each, with the following distribution: two groups in the 20-30 years of age’s range in which one of them was constituted by employed women and the other by women performing only domestic services, and another two groups of the same kind but in the range of 41-60 years of age. Results have pointed out that the exposure to a daily double working routine is felt with greater intensity and conf1ict for those women in the range of 41-60 years of age than for those in the 20-30 years of age’s range.
