Prazer no trabalho: um estudo comparativo entre músicos profissionais e policiais militares

Abstract

Working, for some people, may mean being stressed, tired or hurt. For others, though, it may mean life. The fact is that, positively or negatively, since its beginning, work has played an important role in everyone¿s life. The history of men is the story of the evolution of their work. It was through their work, that men constituted themselves. Therefore, it seems relevant to look further into this subject. The aim of this study is to find out what causes pleasure at work. In order to achieve this answer, two kinds of workers were chosen: musicians and policemen. Using bibliographic and field research, the method of content analysis and the making of drawings, it was proved both of them have pleasure while working, which is felt by realizing the nature of the work. We found five ways that make it possible to have pleasure working. The first is looking at work as providing a feeling of accomplishment; the second, as survival; the third, as a contribution to society; the fourth, as a hobby or leisure; and the last, as a personal challenging.

Talvez para uns, trabalhar esteja associado ao estresse, cansaço ou sofrimento. Talvez para outros seja sinônimo de vida. O fato é que, positiva ou negativamente, desde sua existência, o trabalho tem um papel fundamental na vida dos seres humanos. A história do homem é a história da evolução do trabalho dos homens. Foi por meio do trabalho que o homem se constituiu. Por ser assim, investigar a respeito deste tema parece relevante. O objetivo desta dissertação foi levantar o que pode causar prazer no trabalho. Para obter esta resposta, optou por duas categorias de trabalhadores: músicos e policiais militares. Utilizando pesquisa bibliográfica e de campo, o método de análise de conteúdo e a construção de desenhos, o trabalho concluiu que ambos as categorias de trabalhadores sentem prazer no trabalho. Tal sentimento se dá por meio da percepção dos trabalhadores a respeito da natureza do trabalho. Encontramos cinco caminhos que possibilitam experimentar prazer no trabalho. O primeiro foi o trabalho como uma forma de realização do ser humano na natureza. O segundo foi o trabalho como sobrevivência. O terceiro foi o trabalho como contribuição para a sociedade. O quarto foi o trabalho como um hobby ou lazer, e o último foi o trabalho como um desafio pessoal.
