OCDE e o Investimento Verde

Abstract

O presente artigo aborda o financiamento e o investimento em crescimento verde, conforme a evolução do tema observado pela OCDE. Embora o assunto venha conquistando a atenção dos mercados, governos e instituições internacionais, a falta de consenso sobre conceitos, definições e padrões das questões que envolvem o “verde” tem sido o principal impedimento para que financiamento e investimento em crescimento verde se tornem prioridade na gestão de ativos de investidores institucionais. A busca pela harmonização internacional ainda é um trabalho em andamento, a ser desenvolvido com a cooperação de todos os players envolvidos.

This article addresses green financing and investing in green growth, according to the evolution of the theme observed by the OECD. Although the matter has been drawing markets, governments and international institutions attention, a lack of consensus on concepts, definitions and standards on “green” issues has been the main impediment to green financing and investment becoming a priority for asset management of institutional investors. The search for international harmonization is still a work in progress, to be developed with the cooperation of all players involved.
