As contribuições do Colégio Cruzeiro para as dinâmicas na manutenção da identidade cultural germânica no contexto escolar brasileiro (1914-1945)

Abstract

Por meio desta pesquisa busca-se identificar a contribuição da escola de modelo alemão, nomeadamente o Colégio Cruzeiro, para a dinâmica de ressignificação das práticas de construção e manutenção da identidade cultural germânica no contexto escolar no território brasileiro na primeira metade do século XX, mais especificamente no período de 1914 a 1945, marcado por duas guerras mundiais. O problema está direcionado para duas linhas de observação: por um lado, o papel das escolas na elaboração da identidade subjetiva e social de sujeitos; por outro, o potencial dos arquivos escolares para preservar a cultura escolar e resgatar sua memória. Os estudos sobre arquivos escolares têm adquirido uma importância crescente no campo da história da educação e acabam por motivar profundas preocupações em relação à salvaguarda e à preservação dos seus documentos, que constituem instrumentos fundamentais para a história da escola e a construção da memória educativa, baseada na reconstrução de uma representação histórica do funcionamento da instituição ao longo da sua existência.

Through this research, it sought to identify the contribution of the model German school, namely Colégio Cruzeiro, to the dynamics of reframing the practices of construction and maintenance of Germanic cultural identity in the school context in the Brazilian territory in the first half of the 20th century, more specifically in the period from 1914 to 1945, marked by two world wars. The problem is focused on two lines of observation: on the one hand, the role of schools in the elaboration of the subjective and social identity of subjects; on the other, the potential of school files to preserve school culture and rescue its memory. Studies on school files have acquired increasing importance in the field of the history of education and end up motivating deep concerns regarding the safeguarding and preservation of their documents, which are fundamental instruments for the history of the school and the construction of the educational memory, based on the reconstruction of a historical representation of the institution's functioning throughout its existence.
