Elaboração conceitual e desenvolvimento do voluntariado como uma prática da humanidade ao longo da história
Resumo
A ideia de fazer bem aos outros sem necessariamente obter algo em troca além da satisfação de tê-lo feito, pertence a humanidade desde os primórdios da civilização. O presente artigo pretende situar historicamente o conceito do voluntariado enquanto pratica das mais diversas sociedades existentes ao longo do tempo, buscando propiciar um referencial teórico que permita o conhecimento e uma avaliação a respeito do tema. Doar tempo, trabalho e talento em prol do interesse coletivo para melhorar a qualidade de vida de outro indivíduo ou da comunidade é ainda, e será por muito tempo, um meio concreto de fazer o bem e, com isso, sentir-se bem. The idea of doing good to others without necessarily getting something in return, beyond the satisfaction of having done so, has belonged to humanity since the dawn of civilization. The present article intends to historically situate the concept of volunteering as a practice of the most diverse societies that exist along the time, seeking to provide a theoretical reference that allows the knowledge and an evaluation regarding the theme. Giving time, work and talent to the collective interest to improve the quality of life of another individual or the community is still, and will be for a long time, a concrete means of doing good and with that, feel good.
