A representação social de Republica no Exército brasileiro

Abstract

This Master of Seie nse dissertation deal with the meaning of Republie for the military personal belonging to Brazilian Army. Such subject have been sought on internal publications regarding to all the 15th's november, starting at the year of 1889, until now ,throughout the celebration of the first century of the republican regimen in Brazil. The object of the Social Psychology is delimited, and a critic to the models based on the Positivism and Historical Materialism is presented to justify the choice of the theoretical reference frame. On this basis one can use the History· of Mentalities as well as the Social Representation Theory. The 'Order of the Day' is employed a s the main subject in this investigation justifying its presentation as a separated chapter rather than a secondary information. The 'Order of the Day' contents are totally analysed and the order, progress, security and development ideas are highlighted. Later on, a superposition of Army internal ideologies, which dominated the Republican structure enviroments, is done according with the social republic representation of the Brazilian Army. Such superimposition reinforces the active role of the Social Representation.

A presente dissertação de mestrado versa sobre o significado de República no militar do Exército Brasileiro. Tal significado é buscado nas manifestações publicadas, no interior da corporação, nos dias 15 de novembro dos cem anos deste regime vigente no país. Delimita-se qual o objeto da Psicologia Social, e, para fundamentação da escolha do quadro de referência teórico, apresenta-se uma crítica aos modelos fundados no Positivismo e no Materialismo Histórico, para então se optar pela História das Mentalidades e pela Teoria das Representações Sociais. Utiliza-se as 'Ordens do Dia' como material. Importa ressaltar que apresentam-se tais documentos num capitulo e não em anexos, para enfatizar que eles são a base desta dissertação. São considerados, não coadjuvantes, mas figuras centrais neste cenário. Faz-se uma análise destas 'Ordens do Dia', privilegiando-se as ideias de ordem, progresso, segurança e desenvolvimento. Posteriormente é feita uma sobreposição das ideologias dentro do Exército que dominaram as conjunturas na estrutura republicana, com a representação social de República no Exército Brasileiro. Tal sobreposição corrobora o papel ativo da Representação Social.
