Expansão do ensino superior de história em direção ao interior: a formação do campo em Goiás

Abstract

Este artigo analisa o processo de expansão e interiorização dos cursos superiores de História no Brasil e como se deu a formação do campo em Goiás. Com base nos dados do INEP e das instituições públicas que ofertam esses cursos, constatamos que a maioria deles, principalmente nas regiões Centro-Oeste, Norte e Nordeste do país, foram instituídos visando diplomar professores não havendo maiores preocupações com a pesquisa histórica ou com a formação do campo historiográfico.

This article aims at presenting the process of expansion of higher education history courses towards the countryside of Brazil and the formation of the field of history in Goiás. Based on data from the Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisa (INEP) and from the public institutions that offer these courses, we found that most of them, especially in the Mid-west, North and Northeast regions of Brazil, were established with the purpose of ensuring the graduation of teachers of History, but there were no major concerns with historical research or with the formation of the historiographical field.
