Every quarter the Brazilian Institute of Economics of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (IBRE / FGV) and the German Ifo Institute survey Latin American economies and produce the Economic Climate Index (ECI). Lia Valls Pereira discusses the results of the April 2012 survey and shows how the ECI has taken a different path in different countries.
