Good external and domestic news has increased the chances that Brazil will not undergo a dramatic adjustment of the external balance before the presidential elections in 2014, says Fernando Dantas. But he also sees reasons for concern in such areas as Brazil’s growth potential and some policies that are likely to be unsustainable.
