Nova Iorque mudou o jogo dos aplicativos. E agora?

Abstract

Marcos acaba de assumir a secretaria de Transportes de São Paulo. Dentre seus vários desafios, ele terá que repensar a regulamentação dos aplicativos de transporte de passageiros, como Uber, 99 e Cabify, muito porque um novo elemento reacendeu o debate nesse setor: a decisão de Nova Iorque em limitar a quantidade de carros que podem estar cadastrados nestas plataformas. Agora, Marcos terá que ouvir todas as partes envolvidas, decidir qual o melhor caminho a seguir, considerar todos os interesses e pensar que é melhor para uma das maiores cidades do planeta. A experiência profissional da autora, motivou a escolha do tema em questão para o trabalho.

Marcos has just taken over the Municipal Transportation Department of São Paulo. Among many challenges, he will have to rethink the regulation of ride hailing applications such as Uber, 99 and Cabify, much as a new element has reignited the industry debate: New York's decision to cap the number of cars that may be registered on these platforms. Now, Marcos will have to listen to all the stakeholders involved, decide the best way to move forward, consider all the interests and think what it is best for one of the largest cities on the planet. The professional experience of the author motivated the choice of the subject for this work.
