The study analyses the teaching and research practices of seven private general big hospital organizations located at São Paulo borough and associated to ANAHP. The qualitative methods used were based on search of meanings present in speeches. Data were collected after interviews based on a semi-structured guide to identify attitudes and opinions. The mainly corporative leaderships of this hospitals were interviewed. They gave information about the teaching and research vision in an institutional point of view . The responsibles for teaching program management gave detailed information about co-ordination and structure of teaching and research practices in the hospitals studied. This paper also identify and compare the perceptions of each corporative leaderships to their respective responsibles about objectives and results of teaching and research programmes, study some aspects related to co-ordination and structure of this activities, and identify and compare the perceptions of each corporative leaderships to their respective responsibles about future perspectives of teaching and research programmes of the hospitals studied. The objectives and achieved results from the educational and research activities declared by corporative leadership forces as well as individuals responsible for the studies and implementation of such activities in the hospitals analyzed are tied to three main points: knowledge blossoming, assisting quality and strategy in the competitive market. The corporate leadership declarations associated with the objectives and results attained from the development of educational practices and research had just a few similarities when compared to the declarations presented by the representative parties of these activities. The organizations 2 and 7 demonstrated the best outcomes concerning some researched attributes such as specific annual budget, financial sources, physical, human and support resources, and types and production of the research and educational activities. Only organizations number 2 and 4 established formal partnerships with Upper Level Educational Institutes. Hospitals 2, 3, 4 and 7 participated in the telemedicine program. As for the future of educational-research perspectives, the educational activities were the most frequently discussed among the corporative leadership forces and respective representatives of these areas in the researched institutions. Interviewed individuals had minimal conflicting points in their opinions.
